Color Picker From Image
Upload an image and click anywhere on it to read the exact pixel colour as HEX and RGB, with a running palette of every colour you pick.
Why clicking beats guessing by eye
The picker reads the pixel through the canvas at the exact coordinate you click, so what comes back is the stored colour value rather than the colour your monitor and the surrounding page make it look like. A brand blue that reads as #2563eb in the file can easily look teal beside a warm background, and a design rebuilt from that impression never quite matches. Sampling removes the guesswork, and the running palette keeps every value you have taken from this image in one place instead of forcing you to re-pick when you lose track.
Nothing is uploaded. The image is decoded into a canvas in the browser, which is also why very large files are fine - the only limit is the memory your tab already has.
Usage example
You are matching a screenshot of a competitor's pricing table and need their accent colour for a review deck. Load the screenshot, click inside one of the coloured buttons, and the HEX row gives you #0f766e while the swatch fills with it - if the swatch reads as the colour you saw, you sampled the right pixel; if it reads darker, you caught an edge or a shadow. Click three or four more to see whether the accent is consistent across buttons, then copy the values you want.
For pixels that turned out to be anti-aliased edges rather than the fill, re-sample a few pixels inward - edge pixels blend the shape with its background and are the classic source of a slightly-off brand match. When the value needs to travel into CSS in a different notation, the HEX to RGB converter hands you RGB and HSL from the same code, and the HTML entity encoder is what you want if the colour is going into an attribute that must survive being pasted through markup.
Frequently asked questions
Is my image uploaded to a server?
No. The file is read by the browser, drawn to a canvas and sampled locally - it never leaves the machine. That is what makes it usable for screenshots of unreleased work or client material.
Why does the sampled colour differ slightly from what I see?
Anti-aliasing: pixels at the edge of a shape are blends of the shape and its background. Click well inside the flat area of the colour you want, or pick several pixels and confirm they agree before copying.
Which formats can I use?
Whatever the browser can decode - PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF and SVG rasterised by the browser. SVG with no intrinsic size may render small; a PNG export of the same artwork behaves predictably.
